Please pray for those in the Bastrop area that have been affected by wild fires. It has burned more than 44,000 and destroyed more than 600 homes.

Many parts of Texas have not received significant rainfall in over a year.  This has been a very bad year for wild fires in Texas.

Day 26: Close-Up

I made grilled pizza one night last week. Thought it would make a good close-up shot.

Three Little Pigs Pizza

• Pizza crust
• Sauce
• About 1/2 cup sausage cooked.
• 5 slices bacon cooked and chopped
• About 1/2 cup ham chopped
• Mozzarella cheese -  enough for 2 layers
• 1-2 green peppers — sauteed
• 3-4 mushrooms — sauteed
• 1 small onion — sauteed
• 1 tomato — chopped
• 1-2 sprigs basil – chopped

1. Roll or toss crust. Put on piece of foil be sure to brush or spray foil with oil.
2. Grill pizza on the foil top side down for about 3-5 minutes.
3. Remove from grill and assemble pizza.
4. Add sauce & a then layer of cheese.
5. Add meat, onions, peppers, and mushrooms.
6. Top meat and veggies with cheese, tomatoes, and basil.
7. Return to grill for 3-5 minutes.

Noticed my shadow and thought it would make a cool shot. Took it just after sunset with light from the street lights.

 

Day 24: Bokeh

Bokeh has been extremely challenging. I’ve tried several tutorials with very poor results.

I’m going to continuing playing with this technique.
