Holy Week Reflection: Tuesday

2008 March 18

For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit. I Peter 3:18 (NKJV)

The Wonderful Cross
By J. D. Walt, Isaac Watts, Jesse Reeves, Chris Tomlin
Performed by Michael W. Smith

When I survey the wondrous cross

On which the Prince of glory died,

My richest gain I count but loss,

And pour contempt on all my pride.

Oh the wonderful Cross, oh the wonderful Cross

Bids me come and die and find that I may truly live

Oh the wonderful Cross, oh the wonderful Cross

All who gather here by grace draw near

And bless Your name

See from His head, His hands, His feet,

Sorrow and love flow mingled down:

Did e’er such love and sorrow meet,

Or thorns compose so rich a crown?

Oh the wonderful Cross, oh the wonderful Cross

Bids me come and die and find that I may truly live

Oh the wonderful Cross, oh the wonderful Cross

All who gather here by grace draw near

And bless Your name

Were the whole realm of Nature mine,

That were an offering far too small;

Love so amazing, so divine,

Oh the wonderful Cross, oh the wonderful Cross

Bids me come and die and find that I may truly live

Oh the wonderful Cross, oh the wonderful Cross

All who gather here by grace draw near

And bless Your name

Glad you liked. I took it last month when we went to St. Augustine. We are going back this week so I should have more pictures up later this week.
